Point of View

How I think about

brand marketing.

Fifteen years cultivating consumer experiences across beauty, fashion and lifestyle brands teaches you a lot. These are the things that have held true no matter the brand, the budget or the brief.

01
The Marketer's Role
Marketing builds
connections, not
broadcasts.

Marketing's job is to connect a brand to the people it's actually for, clearly and honestly, in a way that makes them feel seen rather than targeted. When it works, customers don't just buy once. They come back and they tell people.

"The story isn't what you make. It's what the customer's life looks like because you exist."
02
Strategy vs. Activity
Most marketing
is noise. Strategy
is the antidote.

A packed content calendar isn't a strategy. Neither is a high ad spend. Strategy is what makes all of it add up to something. Without it, every campaign starts from zero.

"Great brand marketing compounds. Each move should make the next one easier and more powerful."
03
Category Fluency
You cannot market
what you do not
truly understand.

You can't market a product you don't genuinely understand. In beauty and luxury especially, consumers know when something is off. Category knowledge is what makes the creative credible, the retailer conversation productive and the claims defensible.

"You can't close the gap between what a brand could be and what it is without understanding both sides of it."

What this means
for the brands
I work with.

Every Blasé Bleu engagement is built on these convictions. They determine what gets prioritized, what gets questioned and what gets fixed before any campaign goes live.

Start a Conversation
I start with the consumer relationship, not the campaign calendar
I audit the gap between positioning and execution before building anything new
I fix infrastructure problems before amplifying them with marketing spend
I bring category credibility to every retailer conversation, every brief and every claim
I build marketing that compounds — leaving the brand stronger than I found it
